Many Christians are Poor because of this Three Habits

The saying “the poor shall always remain in the land” is one of the most fundamental truths humanity have come to believe over the ages. The iconic verisimilitude of the aforementioned fact does not, however, dispute the fact that there are many princes who are ignorantly walking on their barefoot today. The manifestation of the later is the case of many Christians in this contemporary society.

A lot of Christians are poor not because they should be poor but because of certain wrong ignorant habits, they retain as part of their daily lives. In this article, I will be sharing three habits that are keeping many Christians poor in the society today.

As it has always been said ‘Knowledge is like a garden, if it is not cultivated it cannot be harvested.” That is why I want to sincerely admonish, if you trace any of them in you as I am presuming you will, please ensure you make the necessary adjustments. Only then will this article be meaningful to your success.

1. God’s Time Is The Best.

“God’s time is the best.” I am one of those that believe in that statement. But do you know that statement which is apparently the most common clause in the mouth many Christians is not written anywhere in the Holy Bible? But ask any Christian, who have ignorantly entered a covenant with poverty, the reason why he is still poor. What you will get as a reply will be “God’s time is the best”. The question is, who owns the time that you are in currently? It’s time we get things straightened. The statement is not bad on its own but the motive and propensity with which many Christians use it as the major excuse for their financial predicament are wrong.

God’s time is always available but may not be real to you until you activate it in your life through your action. It is the Holy Bible that records that God will bless the labors of your hands. Having a labor is not just enough you need also to innovate the labor.

Many Christians don’t even have one single labor let alone innovating any but they are still dreaming that “God’s time is the best”.

2. Prayer is the sole solution to poverty

” Prayer is the key.” That spiritual truth which is undoubtedly efficient in the spiritual sphere is what many Christians are deploying in tackling financial problems today. The question is, does prayer solves financial problems? My answer is yes, but only partially. Money is dual in nature; spiritual and physical. You can’t get a complete solution until you tackle it from those two angles.

Jesus Christ always prayed but he didn’t ask prayer to do his carpentry work for him. Paul the Apostle believed in prayers but he never asked prayers to take over his tent-making profession.

There are Christians who can pray for hours but are so mentally lazy that they can not sit down and make positive thinking for 30 minutes. You can not solve a financial problem completely through prayers, you need to also consult financial experts for the solution to be completed.

3. Sowing of Seed Makes One Rich

“Solomon sacrificed as thousand cows to God and God made him the wealthiest king that has ever lived.” That is very correct, but it is not always right for people to be using it as an easy pass to demand people to sow seed promising them an automatic financial transformation.

It is more worrisome when ignorant Christians sow seed with the sole expectation that the seed will transform their lives financially. Solomon was not expecting a reward from God when he did what he did. He was just expressing his sincere appreciation to God.

Even if God, through His mercy, supernaturally gives you a financial miracle, you still need hard work coupled with efficient financial knowledge to sustain the miracle. All the biblical financial giants we’re not people who were sowing seed to God expecting a financial turn around in return. They were all hard-working financial strategists who occasionally received divine secrets from God.

As I conclude, I will like to leave you with this; God’s time is the best, God answers prayers and it is good to give to God but remember all these alone can not get you out of poverty. Please do well to share and also drop your comments below.
