Meet Pastor Kumuyi’s Son Who Was Suspended in year 2013 Over the Wedding Dress Worn By His Wife (Photos)

Before we meet Pastor Kumuyi’s son, who was suspended from his church, Deeper Life Bible Church, in connection with the wedding dress, let’s quickly do a brief biography of his father, Pastor Williams Folorunsho Okumuyiwa, known to all as Pastor Kumuyi.

As already said, the letter W in his name stands for Williams, while F stands for Folorunsho, and Kumuyi is actually Ikumuyiwa. W. F. Kumuyi was born on June 6, 1941. Precise calculations of his age shows that Pastor W. F. Kumuyi is currently 79 years old.

W.F. Kumuyi had pious parents who raised him in the way of the Lord. His birthplace was Erin-Ijesha, a village in Osun State.

To this day there are no records of the schools where Pastor Kumuyi received his kindergarten or primary education. The public’s attention was only drawn to his high school.

W. F. Kumuyi went to the Mayflower School after finishing his primary school, where he received his high school education.       Mayflower School is located in Ikenne, a community in Ogun State.

After completing secondary school at the Mayflower School in 1964, W. F. Kumuyi joined the University of Ibadan in Oyo State.   There W. F. Kumuyi studied mathematics at Ibadan University.

After graduating from the Faculty of Mathematics at the University of Ibadan, W. F. Kumuyi graduated with an Honours Degree in Mathematics in 1967.

Not only was he the best graduate of his department, but he was also recognized as the best graduate of his university.

After obtaining his first degree from the University of Ibadan, he moved to Lagos State, where he completed a postgraduate course in Education at the University of Lagos.

It would interest you to know that in 1964, three years before W. F. Kumuyi left the University of Ibadan, he accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior.

During his childhood, until W. F. Kumuyi grew up and was admitted to the university, he was a member of the Anglican Church. He was born and raised in the Anglican Church, which turned out to be his parents’ church.

W.F. Kumuyi had always taught with passion.       He once taught at his alma mater, the Mayflower School in Ogun State. When he was a teacher at the Mayflower School, he taught mathematics.

W. F. Kumuyi also worked as a professor at the University of Lagos. While at the University of Lagos, he taught mathematics. In fact, this was in the early 1970s.

W.F. Kumuyi had started a Bible study group while teaching mathematics at the University of Lagos. The Bible study group was a team of 15 people who came together to gain an in-depth knowledge of the Bible. In time, the Bible study group became a church, the Deeper Life Bible Church.

W. F. Kumuyi has several books in his name.       He has written several books. He is also a co-author and a budding television preacher.

In 1980 W. F. Kumuyi married his beloved wife, Abiodun Kumuyi. Although she is no longer. She died in 2009.

Pastor W. F. Kumuyi met her in 1972. They met when W. F. Kumuyi was a professor of mathematics at the University of Lagos.

Abiodun Kumuyi was a student of the Bible in the group before she died when she met Kumuyi.

The blessed wedding ceremony between Pastor W. F. Kumuyi and the late Pastor (wife) Abiodun Kumuyi took place on September 13, 1980. The marriage was as glorious as many men of God were present. The wedding took place in Lagos.

The solemn marriage of the late Abiodun Kumuyi and Pastor W. F. Kumuyi produced two sons named Jeremiah Kumuyi and John Kumuyi before Abiodun Kumuyi died in 2009.

Of the two sons Abiodun Kumuyi had for W. G. Kumuyi, John Kumuyi, who happens to be the second son of Pastor W. G. Kumuyi, was raised in holy matrimony with his beloved bride named Love Odih on Saturday, June 15, 2013. Love Odih, Kumuyi’s wife – to be – was the daughter of the National Director of Deep Life, Jamaica.

The wedding ceremony took place in the United States and many dignitaries were present.

John Kumuyi’s bride’s dress, Love Odih, was heavily criticized.

This caused a lot of controversy as people reacted to both the dress and her overall appearance.       Some felt that there was nothing wrong with her dress and that it was the best way to look on the wedding day.

Some also thought that they should be punished because the lady had earrings and all the other things that were against the doctrine of the Church.

They accused the bride of violating the Church’s dress code by wearing makeup, putting on a wedding dress that fit her perfectly, looking through her sleeve, and so on.

Regarding the wedding dress, John Kumuyi and his wife Love Kumuyi were suspended from the leadership of Deeper Life Bible Church in 2013 for their behavior, even though they had written a letter of apology to the church authorities.
