YOU CAN’T GET TIRED NOW!

We came in as a fresh students with so much zeal, passion and enthusiasm. We were happy and joyful.

Lecture began after one week of resumption. We go to class earlier than the scheduled time. Some would sleep over in the lecture theatre just to get a good seat at the front while others struggle for seat.

In fact, there was time I was going for a 9am class around 7am and a senior colleague who was in the bus with me told me I was already late for the class. Lo and behold, I had to sit on the floor that day just get the best from the class and miss out on anything because the seats were already filled up. The seriousness was evident and visible.

But overtime, the zeal began to wane. Tiredness set in. We could no longer keep up with the pace with which we started.

We say words like, “I cannot comman go and kill myself, school na scam”. We began to find flimsy excuses to justify our actions.

What is the essence of this story?

This story is also applicable to life. To start anything in life is not a problem. We start with zeal, passion and enthusiasm.

But we get to a point where we get tired. We feel like throwing in the towel.

Here this, tell yourself I can’t get tired now. You still have a long way to go. The journey is still far.

Also note that you’re not alone.
Judges 8:4 “Gideon and his three hundred men, EXHAUSTED YET KEEPING UP THE PURSUIT, came to Jordan and crosses it.”

Tiredness is normal when you are on an assignment or when you’re running a project. You’re not a robot. But you must never put a full stop on the journey.

Tiredness must not be an handcuff that will stop from doing what God has committed into your hands.

Tiredness must not serve as a chain that binds up your leg from running that vision.

You have been diligent in studying the Word and praying but now you’ve lost the zeal, rekindle that passion once again. You can’t get tired now!

You are still on track in your journey with God but you are at the edge of throwing in the towel, receive strength and encouragement to stay on track. You can’t get tired now!

God is not interested in the way we start as much as He is interested in the way we finish. The end of a thing is better than in its beginning thereof.

Keep the end in view. Keep your hand on the plough and hit your feet on the ground and never look back.

You can’t get tired now!
