Dear Young married couple,
First of all, congratulations on embarking on this sacred journey of marriage! It is truly a beautiful adventure that requires dedication and hard work from both partners. We wanted to share some insights that have helped us in our own marriage, hoping that they will inspire and encourage you to build a lasting and fulfilling relationship.
- Put God at the centre of everything: When the foundation of everything you do is God then He will surely guide and guard both your steps and hearts.
- Make an effort to continuously woo each other: Just because you’re married doesn’t mean the romance has to stop.
- Be patient with each other: You’re both just adjusting to living with each other, so you have to give room to get accustomed to having someone else live with you.
- Communicate with each other: Talking about everything from small things, such as how you spent your day, to big things, such as how to spend your money, is vital to a healthy marriage.
- Learn to compromise and be open to new experiences: Whether you find yourself divided over holiday travel plans or personal pet peeves, do your best to meet your partner halfway.
- Spend time with each other: Don’t let busy schedules prevent you from spending the quality time that you deserve with your partner.
- Have a healthy sex life: Sex is a vital part of the marriage relationship, so you should make sure your sex life is satisfying for both of you.
