Pastor Sam Adeyemi of the Daystar Christian Center has shared a story of his school mate which taught him the fundamentals of how success can be achieved in life.
The renowned man of God was narrating the story through his official Twitter handle from where he has been sharing tweets containing advise on personal advancements for his followers.
Pastor Sam said that a there was a school mate of his named Sholay, derived from Sola at the time, who was a runner at one of their Inter-House competitions in their High school.
He said Sholay did something that changed his perception on success and how it is achieved. According to Pastor Sam Adeyemi, this Sholay guy used to wake up early morning and run by himself, even though the competition had not started.
The pastor said he was shocked that someone will be spending time to run and train himself for such a long time for an ordinary school competition.
However, when the D-Day for the Inter-House competition finally arrived, Sholay came first and won the gold medal in most of the races that were organized in that year’s Inter-House competition.
This he said taught him that preparation is what births success. According to him, although most of us have opportunities to succeed, only those who are actually prepared get to succeed when they take those opportunities.
Like Sholay, most of us will only succeed if we are prepared to take the opportunities which God will make available to us, just as Sholay did and excelled at the Inter-House competition.
