Marriage is not only an emotional commitment; it is also a financial one. When you decide to share your life with another person, you are completely bound to them in all seasons of life (for richer, for poorer).
It is a well-known fact that finance has been one of the major contributors of conflicts within the home. The way this subject is handled between couples can determine whether their marriage will stand the test of time or not. It is important that every couple should manage this very delicate subject with wisdom, understanding and a lot of patience, so that their homes can be the best that God wants it to be.
There is no hard and fast rule on how money should be managed within the home. No home is the perfect example for the other.
Each couple must strive to encourage financial intimacy in their homes and ensure that they can talk freely about this subject with their partner without the fear of being misunderstood or suspected of any ulterior motive.
I pray that our homes will enjoy God’s unlimited peace in Jesus name.
