It was a sad day for the members of Catholic Christian Faithful as some of their members got involved in a very tragic road accident as they headed to a wedding ceremony in Mwingi, Kitui County.
According to reliable reports, 20 members who were on board the bus that went through the swollen River Enziu lost their lives while a couple of them got rescued as they drowned.
The church members has their last dance together as they were alive before the tragic incident happened later in the day that left the whole country in shock and grieving.
“This was the last dance by Catholic Christian Faithful and Choir members from St Cecilia Mwingi Kitui Diocese, moments before their bus plunged into the swollen River Enziu while heading to wedding.
May their perpetual light shine up on them and their souls rest in eternal peace.” The reports stated.
