Prophet Emmanuel Okeke, in a recent post on his official Facebook page, spoke about Family Shrine and what people should do if their father still calls their name at their family shrine. He said that For some of you, this is still what is holding you back from receiving certain breakthroughs in life.
He said that a certain Christian brother was heavily disturbed because he knows his father is still mentioning his name in their village family shrine, and this constantly causes him an unnecessary mood swing.
After the man of God’s ministration on Dead Weights, he came and seek his advice on how to tell his father to stop mentioning his name in the family idol.
The man of God then simply told him to do it in love and he should also expect that the father won’t find it funny and that no matter what, he shouldn’t hate the father or fight with him.
So he finally went and spoke with his father, and the father openly told him that the shrine belongs to him as well, because he is the first son of the family and that if he doesn’t want the shrine then even all the properties will be taken away from him and handed over to the younger one. He boldly told the father that all he wants is Jesus.
And just this morning, as he was sleeping, he was summoned in the spirit and was asked to choose between Jesus and the Shrine.
The cleric then said that many people would’ve ignored telling their parents to stop mentioning their names on the family altar because they will think, it means nothing since they are already saved. “What you fail to understand is that your father has a strong spiritual authority over you because he is your father,” he said.
