If you find that your focus on God, your academics, your various pursuits in life that you had a passion for, suddenly begin to lose value to you, it’s time to loose that lady or gentleman and let them go.

Don’t be sentimental. Any relationship, particularly the one that’ll lead to marriage, should add value to you and should sharpen your focus, not derail you. Too many individuals have gotten off course because they continued relationships carelessly. Examine that serious relationship, and tell yourself the truth.
