The Founder and General Overseer of Power City International Church, Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, Pastor Abel Damina said you should stop praying to God for a long life because you already have life. Instead, you should pray for eternal life.
Addressing some Christians who may argue that King David prayed for long life when he said, “With long life shall He satisfy me”, he affirmed that David meant eternal life and the prayer was answered through the resurrection of Jesus Christ because Jesus Himself is eternal life.
He added that 70, 80, 100 or 200 years is not long life as there were people who lived almost a thousand years in the Bible. Conclusively, he said you should seek Christ so you will be satisfied.
