“Suffering in Nigeria is A Needlesss Evil” – Veteran Actress Omotola Jalade who relocated to the U.S. two years ago expresses her disappointment

Nollywood star, Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde, has lamented over the level of suffering Nigerians are subjected to in the country.

The veteran who relocated to the U.S. two years ago expressed her disappointment in a tweet on Thursday, 26th January 2023, where she described as “evil” the hardship the Nigerian system subjects it citizens to.

“After living in the U.S. now for about 2 years. Not just visiting but living and changing systems… I now see many things we managed and let slide is just pure craziness,” she said.

The mother of four while comparing the Nigerian system with that of the U.S. decried the torture associated with Nigeria.

Omotola discouraged the glorification of suffering as a “lesson to brag about”. She wondered why people are made to suffer before the get basic rights.

“I am deeply frustrated at the depth and volume of the needless suffering Nigerians go through” she lamented. She continued “we are too intelligent a people to suffer like this. Suffering is not lesson to brag about – it’s evil. Why must people suffer to get anything done? Why?,” Omotola explained.
