“The Cure To Nigeria’s Problem Is In The Church But Christians Are Politically Blind” Femi Emmanuel

On the third day of the COZA 12 Days Of Glory, Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo invited God’s servant, Pastor Femi Emmanuel to preach. He preached a message where he encouraged the members to reach to become the best God wants them to become. He told them that where they are might be good, but there is a place called better, and God wants them to go there.

He began to talk about politics in Nigeria. He claimed that the solutions to Nigeria’s problems lies in the church, but the christians in Nigeria are politically blind. He said that politics is about numbers, and the christians have the numbers to be able to cause change in the political sector of the nation.

He talked about the first time he ran for an election and lost because he did not know how to play the politics of the state where he tried to get elected in. He said that the knowledge of how to play politics is blind to the pulpit. He then talked about how he finally got elected into the Oyo State house of assembly, and how he became the deputy speaker of the house.

He narrated the circumstances that led to his election. He claimed there was a man, who was the political principality in the state, and he could place people in power and remove them. This man did not want him elected as speaker, but on the day of the election, he was invited for questioning somewhere, and by the time he had returned, the election was over.

“When I went to see this man, I was already the deputy speaker, so I went with my escorts. As soon as he saw me, he got up and he said he didn’t want me to be in power, but my God was bigger than him.”

Pastor Femi Emmanuel then said that any christian who wanted to go into politics should meet him, and he would mentor them for free.
