The Daddy Freeze Fellow and the Elevation of Idiocy by Eberechukwu Perez Okonkwo

I have restrained myself so far from commenting on the matters now dominating our stratosphere. For starters I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Christ for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believes. I am not exactly a Christian Apologist, I dont think the faith should be defended, it should be contended for rather. The job description of a believer is to keep believing and to contend against anything that may want to stop him from believing.

Yet I believe that it is now ripe for me to put out my position on the now nauseating, irritating and disconcerting interventions of the fellow called Daddy Freeze in the matters of the Christian Faith.

You see ba? You cannot understand the issues without keeping your eyes on the intriguing balls of eschatology. You cannot understand the scheming of the enemy in these times, without a grasp of twhere we are on the eschatological timeline.

Firstly Daddy Freeze is not an accident, he is a product of the degenerated society fighting its last battles of casting off the reproving restraints of the church which itself is in it’s own last stages of predicted spiritual dementia.
The predicted prosperity of the church (most people in false modesty deny this) was not an end in itself, it was to usher in the last huge revival before the church finally falls out of favour with the world. The evolution of the concept of liberty without restraint which is the spirit that now works in the world, has found its insipid way into the pews, while the shepherds celebrated our God given prosperity.

It is the unravelling of the church from within by ill discipled and undisciplined brethren, fed a continuous diet of ease in zion and unbridled liberty that has produced the Daddy Freezes of this world and the legions of “in name only” Christians who dont know anything about unity of the faith and spirit, or our interconnectedness by the blood.
So people now go to fetch drinking water from the toilet of a man who has failed in every material particulars of the Christian faith? A person who wants to be a teacher but knows not truth nor whereof he affirms? A spot in our feast boldy sitting at the table of our sacraments leading a legion of people running amok with private interpretations because knowledge has now predictably greatly increased. But what knowledge has greatly increased? Knowledge of God? Knowledge of the Holy? Fill in the blanks.

And there are Christian’s who fetch from this contaminated cistern? Who do not know that it takes more than a Bible app to connect with the Mighty Holy Spirit? That you may have all the cross references right and still be those “who separate themselves sensual, not having the spirit?

Now to the real issues, I am willing and do concede that it is not an edifying sight to see an Overseer fly off the handle in anger and lose Episcopal self control and speak words that are beneath the demands of that office. There will be excuses made for that and by God, I am in no position to excoriate that Overseer, whose employer is available to reprove him, But that sight indicts every one of us whose duty is to rightly discern our perception of the overseer.

We must understand that the pastor feels too, and can be injured also. Pastor Ibiyeomie let his justified anger get the better of him. But we have been all too quiet before now allowing the irritant Daddy Freeze run rampant and riot on all that is holy and treat as profane that which we should hold as sacred. What are those things?

You think I was referring to the Men of God as sacred? Oh no? Every Christian is sacred and a house of God, including the men of God. What I am speaking about is how we treat our fellowship and communion , our breaking of bread, the right dividing of the word of truth, the communion of the blood and the mystery of rightly discerning the body in order to do no further violence to it than that which was done at that Roman Cross.

Discerning the body doesnt happen by just using a bible App and running cross references and rushing out on social media in competitive zest to show your self approved unto men rather than unto God.
Discerning the body means questioning teachings in a manner that makes for the unity of the faith in the bond of peace. It means ensuring that we are minding the same things, preferring others to ourselves and ensuring that your conduct does not divide the body. It means showing restraint in liberty. But I guess that would be expecting too much from a mercenary who is here on a predicted mission, leading the group rightly identified as “scoffers of the last times”

I think that Pastor Ibiyeomi like everyone else with the name of Christ on them will account for his conduct but that is not to say we shall stand idly by and watch a menace become a phenomenon that locks out genuine work of God from the hearts of the average person.

Now Bishop Oyedepo ( He is also a spiritual father to me, and I have benefited from his ministry) did a teaching on marriage in which he concentrated on Total Submission of the Wife to the Husband. The Freeze Fellow who was neither in the Church nor participated in the teaching felt the need to take to social media to traduce that teaching by pointing out that the teaching was wrong because in his opinion the bible teaches Mutual Submission rather than Sumission of Wife to Husband.

I have heard many people state that Daddy Freeze did not insult Bishop Oyedepo. That is simply being clever by half. When a Bishop speaks to his flock on a particular issue there is the possibility that he is emphasising a slant in the message for a particular purpose. He is not expecting that slant or emphasis to become the subject of ridiculous debate from a serial idiot who wants to garner ludicrous popularity by creating the impression that the Bishop is deceiving the flock. What is more insulting? Especially when the fellow is suggesting that the Bishop is “brainwashing” or fleecing the flock.

Now be honest, yes, you be honest, if you were accused of taking advantage of and deceiving your colleagues at work or your employees, would you go home quietly singing hallelujah? Did Paul not rebuke a certain damsel who was irritatingly trying to distract their ministry?

Are we going to have a situation where pastors have to submit their messages to a certain foul mouthed fellow for screening before they preach it? This fellow is allowed to be foul mouthed in his attack on clergy but the clergy are to be held to a higher standard? When he alleges that a pastor is defrauding members it’s okay?

This Freeze fellow jumps out in a video to allege that Oyedepo is misogynist, and his proof is that Oyedepo preached a sermon in which he taught total submission of wives to their husbands. He then seems to suggest that Oyedepo fraudulently and deliberately leaves out the part of the Bible that teaches mutual submission in coming to the conclusion that Oyedepo’s teaching is once again unbiblical, misogynist and of course this is targeted at drawing public opprobrium for the Bishop.

The question is, has Freeze read Oyedepo’s comprehensive books on Marriage? Does Freeze Know that Pastoring means that you can serve rice today and then serve Beans next Sunday? That no Pastor can preach the entire scripture in one 50 minute service?

And to specifics, does the Bible not teach Total Submission of the Wife to her Husband as Leader, while teaching Mutual Submission of both spouses as a collaborative team of recipients of the grace of God?

Does Freeze know that it will take more than acquiring a Bible App to know that both Mutual Submission and Total submission are not antithetical or mutually exclusive? Does he even know that the Bible while requiring the wife to submit to the husband as team lead, requires the man to then dwell with the woman according to knowledge and warns that even prayers will be hindered should the man do otherwise?

Of course Freeze does not know this. If he did he would understand that it was his job as leader to make his marriage work and that his wife may have left because instead of dwelling with her according to knowledge, he was probably busy arguing and seeking to be right.

Now how can this fellow be the source of pure drinking water for most people? How can this fellow be the one to show us the way?

We should and have condemned the outbursts of Pastor Ibiyeomi, but that irritant called Freeze should now be called to order. But hey, these are the end times.
If the Man of Sin will be revealed, is it Freeze that we cannot handle?

Our Pastors should let the fellow be. Leave the fight for us public people.
