(Read this piece before you misinvest your money in church)
The Power of Pentecost is not an ATM. It is quiet unfurtunate today that our messages,especially prophets’ messages usually end with “Money call” instead of an “altar call”.
There is one important lesson I want us to learn from pastor Adeboye, he would not preach without making an altar call. In contrast, some preachers can’t preach without making a ‘money call’. Shame!
The generation of today’s preachers, we focus on donation instead of salvation. The preacher’s inner mind is after the crowd and their pulse. We are always thinking of “how much money we can make from the crowd instead of how many souls we can win for Christ.
We make money to build large cathedrals but the presence of God is not visible in our churches. Today’s church is more of a business Centre instead of an house of God. Mamoh is the Chief Executive Officer of most churches instead of the Holy Spirit. Lies and false prophets dominate our altars.
Consequently, the more money we give in church, the poorer we become. Why? Our giving is not based on scriptures but on manipulations of the servants of God.
Brothers and Sisters, let your giving be guided by the Holy Spirit and 2 Corinthians 9: 6-7.
Give by faith and not by prophecy. If your giving lacks faith, it doesn’t matter who gives the prophecy or who collect money from you, you can give and get nothing in return. Be warned, there are lots of false prophets out there.
Let All Mighty Preachers learn valuable lessons from the life of Jesus. Let us learn valuable lessons from the life of Babalola who was baptized with power from the Most High and never turned it into transactional chip.
Anointing is not given to make money but to win souls. Anointing is not a bargaining chip.
When next they make “money call” in your church, ask the Holy Spirit if it is the Will of God before you ‘misinvest’ your money.
The truth is that, many of our prophets today are like Balaam. 2 Peter 2: 14-16 have a perfect explanation of this extortionists:
“Having eyes full of adultery, and that cannot cease from sin; beguiling unstable souls: an heart they have exercised with covetous practices : cursed children: which have forsaken the right way, and are gone atray, following the way of Balaam, the son of Bosor, who loved the wages of unrighteousness. But was rebuked for his iniquity : the dumb ass speaking with man’s voice forbad the Madness of the Prophet”

Am I preaching poverty as a way of life?
Definitely not. I hate poverty with passion but don’t let false prophets swindle you with their fake or misuse of their anointing. You can make money call but this should not be the concluding session of ALL your ministration sir. Anointing is not for sales.
And to church members, stop looking for miracle money ALL the time. If you want money, work is the path to get money. God will only bless the work of your hand.
Let me conclude with the words of Pastor Sam Adeyemi:
“Don’t let anyone deceive you. Prayer is important for you to get an income, but it will not take the place of you having skills and offering products and services to meet people’s needs. Money is a means of exchange of value. Pray, then sell something!”
