The Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engineer Seyi Makinde, worshipped with the Deeper Life Bible Church during their crusade in Ibadan titled ‘Total Freedom through faith in Christ.’ It was a beautiful moment in the presence of God to see politicians worshipping and dancing to the glory of God.
He revealed that he was supposed to join the program on Sunday, 30th January but his schedule became tight. Knowing fully well that the program would come to an end on Tuesday, 1st February, he made up his mind that he will be around. He left Abuja by 3:30 pm, though there were fears that the journey might be postponed due to climate conditions. “I said that no matter what, even if I will have to crawl, I will get here,” he said.
Speaking further, he said that they are happy that the crusade is held live in Ibadan, Oyo State. He said that a lot of good things happening in Oyo state because they have a lot of people praying for that administration. He said that when they go out and say that they don’t have any godfathers but they have only God the Father, some people get angry. And if they see what is going on at the Crusade ground, they should leave their own Godfather and come to the God the Father.
He also revealed that he loved the way the Ibadan choir sang and even felt like joining them. He had made an attempt to join the choir in the past but he does not have a good voice. “Maybe when you want to audition next time, remember me, I will come,” he said. He also admired the settings in the church claiming that it is one of the best he has seen.
Finally, he thanked all the organizers of the crusade and also thanked the man of God for bringing the crusade to Ibadan. He said that he is sure that he will experience a miracle. “I just want to enjoy myself, listen to the message, soak myself in the songs and I believe that I will get my miracles because Governors also need miracles,” he said. He said that there are forces contending with the Governor’s seat and urged them to always pray for their Governors.
