Evangelist Funmilayo Adebayo, popularly known as Mummy GO, has claimed that she was a cocaine pusher before she gave her life to Christ. She said that she was a lover of expensive jewellery then, and that the jewellery she gathered then “can buy your father’s house.”
Addressing her congregation, she added that if the jewellery she owned then were to be valued today, it would be worth over 300 million naira. She said that when she got called by God, she had to abandon everything and follow Him.
In the past few months, Mummy GO has been trending on social media because of her short video clips and memes that went viral.
She began trending online because of her messages about hellfire, although many of her messages have been regarded as being controversial.
In an interview with BBC News Pidgin a few weeks ago, she said that she actually said some of the things that were attributed to her on social media. She said that those who use makeup will go to hellfire, and that the anti-Christ will be introduced through the World Cup.
Her latest claim that she was a cocaine pusher before she gave her life to Christ came to many with deep surprise, and has been attracting reactions since it surfaced on the internet.
