Pastor of Gateway Church, pastor George Izunwa has revealed why he doesn’tallow couples to get married after just few months of courtship.
In the Video, he said that if your relationship is still new and you are already talking about your family and other sensitive issues then you are foolish. “That is why I don’t support a wedding of fewer than 6 months courtship,” he said.
Not because he does not want you to wait but because he wants you to know some sides of the person whether you can handle it or not. When you rush into marriage you can find some things that you cannot handle and that will not be our portion in Jesus’ name.
So when you are quick to discuss things with your partner in a new relationship it allows you to be open and vulnerable.
He said that it is not sensible for you to meet a man today and the next day you are already in his house. “Any man that you are relating with for less than 1 month and he’s already inviting you to his house does not have a brain,” he said. Don’t continue with him because he is not wise. All that is guiding in this is hormones and after sleeping with you, he goes away.
