Why I refused to be part of C&S And Celestial – Primate Ayodele

The founder and leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Ayodele Elijah has finally responded to questions as to his association or otherwise with other white garment churches, especially the Cherubim and Seraphim fold popularly known as C&S and the Celestial church of Christ more commonly known as Cele. The questions became increasingly pertinent because at Primate Ayodele’s INRI, the white garment is also proudly worn during service by the Primate and members of the church, yet, there has been no visible association between the church and other white garment denominations. Why is this so?

Last week, the ever vibrant cleric who has continued to silence his many critics with his ground breaking prophecies that have consistently come to pass explained to City People in an interview his reservations about closing ranks with the C&S and Celestial folds. Hear him: “Many have asked me the question, why hasn’t Ayodele joined the unification of C&S? Is Ayodele’s church celestial church or C&S? Let me use the opportunity of this interview to make some things very clear. I have my reservations with the way things are done in these churches. I did not join the unification because the elders that are there are directionless. They are not directed by the Holy spirit again, they have become influenced by money.

This is what happens when there is too much poverty in the land. It’s because of poverty that things are going wrong in  C&S and Cele and nobody is doing anything about it. I have a calling from the Lord who directed that I should be on my own. I did not join because there are some old programs in the fold that should’ve been changed. And that is why the woman in charge now, Esther Ajayi, is doing a lot of things that, in my own estimation are wrong. For instance, they wear shoes inside the church.

That’s not the way Moses Orimolade did it. Removing your shoes is all about giving God honour. There is another woman too who is controlling C&S. Esther Ajayi is controlling one part while the other lady, Dr. Sholoye controls the other. They should’ve sanctioned Ajayi for letting the personalities she invited wear their shoes into the church. This is one of the reasons why I can’t be part of their group. I can’t worship a woman. A woman cannot even lead me. The church has become a fashion centre.

That’s why I can’t be part of that group. They’re the ones leading the church not Alao. Right now at INRI, we are building the 20,000 capacity extension of our church and I have not collected money from anybody. So, tomorrow, nobody will come and dictate to me what they want and what they don’t want in the church. People should be asking these women questions, but nobody is doing so because of money.”
