We know the story that happened in the Book of Exodus chapter 32. Just after God saved the Israelites from their slavery in Egypt, they were quick to forget what He had done. They got impatient and tried to do things on their own that led to their destruction.
The history of the Israelites and their relationship with God should serve as our lesson and example. So, today, may their actions teach us to wait on God and His revelations. May it help us understand that doing things on our own and outside of the will of God will lead to unsatisfactory results or, sometimes, to our destruction.
