2 Things To Learn From Pastor Adeboye’s Story of How He Healed His Ex Girlfriend Son

The general overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God Pastor E. A Adeboye narrates a story of how God healed the lame child of his former girlfriend back then in Ilorin. The man of God revealed that this particular ex girlfriend was the one they both do all manners of things when he had not given his life to Christ.

But after some time, when the lady had married and given birth to a lame child, he was pastoring a church in Ilorin and the Lady brought the child to him for prayers. The lady was shocked to discover he has become a Pastor. Adeboye prayed and the lame child was healed.

Here are the two important things to learn from this story.

1. God uses people regardless of their past or status

God is more glorified in using the weak, poor, unqualified than any other person who seems worthy to be used. We have heard of people who were robbers that became mightily used by God at the end of their life.

Only God make one qualify for his work. People can argue, debate, and do all manner of things but God is less concerned. When Samuel was told to go and anoint a king in Jesse’s house, he never thought it was a young man watching over sheep in the bush God has chosen.

2. God uses some miracles to validate his call upon his servants

God used that lame to validate his call upon Pastor Adeboye during his early days in ministry. He made sure that it was the same lady they both had an affair in his past. It would have been easy for Adeboye to remember his past with the woman and get discouraged, that miracle wouldn’t have happened. The Bible says in 1 Corinthians 5:17 that “if any man is in Christ he is a new creature, old things have passed away, behold all things have become new.

Disciples asked Jesus in John 9:2 about a child born blind that was brought to Jesus, “Master, who did sin that this boy was born blind, and Jesus replied that “no one sinned but for the work of God to be made manifest in him.
