The New RCCG Cathedral 

The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) is one of the leading churches in Nigeria and Africa at large. It is only right that they have one of the biggest auditoria in the continent.

The auditorium cost an estimated N10 billion and will accommodate up to 12 million people which is mind-blowing, to say the least. The auditorium is located inside the Redemption Camp along Lagos Ibadan Expressway. According to various reports, the auditorium sits on 40,000 hectares of land. 

MFM Cathedral 

Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministry (MFM) is also another popular church in Nigeria led by Dr Daniel Olukoya. The Pentecostal church owns a camp along the famous Lagos Ibadan Expressway. And just like RCCG, they have a large auditorium inside their camp (Prayer City). The auditorium features 500,000 seaters

Faith Theatre

This auditorium is owned by the Living Faith Church World Wide, a.k.a Winners’ Chapel. The 100,000 seaters stadium-like cathedral sits on about 1,000 hectares of land inside the church’s campground called Canaanland, which is located at Km. 10, Idiroko Road, Ota, Ogun State, Nigeria.

According to the General Overseer and Founder Bishop David Oyedepo, construction works have been put on hold as they await further instructions from God. While they wait, the church will expand their 50,000 seater auditorium to about 250,000 capacity. 

The Hand of God Cathedral 

This is 120,000 seater capacity auditorium for The Salvation Ministries in Port Harcourt, Nigeria. The project began in 2010 with an initial capacity of 40,000 but would later be expanded after the growth of the church. As at 2016, the church had opened over 50 satellite branches in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

The General Overseer David Ibiyeomie wants to do better than his father in the lord; Bishop David Oyedepo. This project consists of five finger-shaped cylindrical structures, one 91m span central dome, and two fan-shaped roof structures. Each of the five cylindrical structures is estimated to contain 20,000 people. 

The Glory Dome Project 

The Glory Dome is one of the world’s largest church auditorium with a capacity of 100,000. The auditorium is located in Abuja, Nigeria and is owned by The Dunamis International Gospel Center led by Dr Paul Enenche. The cathedral is nicknamed “The Lord’s Garden”.

The project was constructed by Geometrica Incorporated, a US-based company. The official start date for the project was September 14, 2018. The Glory Dome’s yellow coloured roof measures 228 metres and covers two hectares/22,148 square metres. It has five major entry gates; Grace Gate, Praise Gate, Power Gate, Goodness Gate and Glory Gate.

Champions Wonderland

The Champions Wonderland is a 10 billion naira auditorium with 80,000 seaters. It is located in Abuja, Nigeria and home to the Champions Royal Assembly church. The Founder/General Overseer of the church is Bro. Joshua Iginla, who started the ministry back in 2006.

This is a great achievement for the church as there aren’t many religion centres that can boost an 80,000 capacity in Africa or even the world right now.
