The general overseer of the Redeemed Christian church of God reveals the mistake that made him who he is today. Prior that he noted that there are some mistakes you are forced or nefariously made that could cause you to lose a very big offer or sometimes rare opportunity, you had always secretly desired, not knowing that God allowed you to make such mistake in order to take you to a better ground.
In view of this, he continued by revealing how a scenerio like this happened to him. He said he went for an interview to get a scholarship organised by commonwealth, which was held at the University of Lagos,UNILAG, and fortunately for him, he made it to the last stage, so when he was called for the interview, he got there and he was asked questions.
He said, the questions he was asked were basic mathematical questions that made him doubt if they knew he had honour in mathematics, but at least he was happy that luck found him and eventually he would be studying abroad without paying a dime.
However, when it was time for the last person to ask him question, the man who was already dozing off while the interview was on, so he just asked him, “where is ENTEBBE” and he was puzzled, so he said Pardon me, I came for mathematics interview not geography not knowing the man was the chairman of the board, everyone in the room laughed which made him realize that he would not be given the scholarship anymore.
Subsequently, he was sad, so he went outside, and that was how he met one of his lecturers, who he explained what happened to. The lecturer finally, persuaded him to do his post graduate at the university of Lagos that he will help him supervise his project, which he did, during the process was when he got born again at the Redeemed Christian church of God and fortunately he is now the general overseer of the church, and with that he has been able to visit lots of developed country and even achieved more than he could have if he was given the scholarship.
