Pastor E. A. Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Living Faith Church Worldwide spoke at RCCG’s Special Sunday Service, titled “Going Higher Part 57.”
According to Church Gist, he said that he believes that some people would have been wondering about the purpose of “Going Higher.” He said, “I am sure by now some of you will be wondering when this series is going to end? It’s not ending yet; we still have one or two things to learn. But I am believing God by the time we are finished, God will have at least one individual who will say come what may I am standing for God.”
Speaking further, he encourages them that there is no wisdom in holding on to something you can’t keep when you can exchange it for something you can’t lose. He said that the one who says, “I don’t want to die, I don’t want trouble,” is trying to protect his life, and such a person will lose it but if you release your life to God; if you lose it as it were for His sake, then you’ll keep it. It is possible to be too careful and end up a loser, in a situation like that it is wiser to let go of everything and let God take control.
However, the category of people who will lose their lives is those who try to protect it on their own and decide not to release it from God and allow him to take control. According to him, God is looking for someone who will say, “God my life is in your hand, I leave it there, whatever you want me to be I am ready, wherever you want me to go I am ready, whatever you want me to do I am ready, irrespective of what may follow.” When God finds such a man he will be delighted and don’t forget, if you’re such a person he will be with you.
