In case you did not know, Salvation Ministries is building a 120,000 seater auditorium called The Hand Of God Cathedral. However, before the building commenced, some men tried to stop the building from taking place.
In his sermon on the importance of vengeance in the life of a believer, Pastor David Ibiyeomie, the senior pastor of Salvation Ministries, narrated how the people, who tried to stop the building from taking place, died.
He declared that one reason why the believer needs to invoke the vengeance of God is so that he will enjoy comfort. He explained that the comfort the church currently enjoys in the location where this construction is taking place was fought for by the vengeance of God.
He narrated that when the building started, he received a letter from the Greater Port Harcourt agency, informing him that he does not have the permission to build on that site. After I told them that we had already paid for that land, they still told me no.
“I called the governor, because I prayed for him to be governor, and he told me no forget it. Just find another land,” he said. “To make it worse, they went and brought down the fence that was there. The fence that was already existing there, they went and brought it down. I said what is this?”
He said that the agency brought soldiers to guard the place, and threatened to shoot whoever comes to continue the work.
“Those soldiers they brought, they have guns, but me I have my mouth,” he said. “So I went there, I will never forget it, it was on Thursday, on a midweek service. I lifted the blocks and I said whoever is behind this order, the same way these blocks are pierced, that’s the same way you are pierced.”
According to the man of God, on Friday, the day after he prayed this prayer, the man, who gave the order, was returning from a club and got knocked down by a car while he was coming out from the club. He did not survive it. The other man who gave the order for soldiers to occupy the territory, slept on Sunday night and didn’t wake up again.
“After that, the Greater Port Harcourt workers told themselves if you want to die, go and stop that work. That is how we enjoy all round comfort because some people had to pay!”
