Pastor E. A. Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God spoke on “The Covenant Keeping God” at September Holy Communion Service.
He then said, “It is to be a thing of great joy and excitement that when I was seeking the face of the Lord for the month of September, a month when we set aside, especially a time for those who are trusting God for the fruit of the womb. I was expecting themes like, “The fruitful vine, None shall be barren, etcetera.” And He said, “tell them I’m the Covenant Keeping God.”
He further said that after the Perfect Jubilee, the next thing God told them was, “I will keep my covenant.” So, you are the only one who will lose if you don’t surrender your life to Jesus; because in surrendering your life to Jesus Christ, you open the door to all the benefits of the covenant. He then revealed 5 covenants you will enjoy if you give your life to Jesus and they are:
1. Covenant of Life
When you surrender your entire life to the lord Jesus Christ then you will enjoy the Covenant of life. Psalm 91:16 says, “With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation”
2. Covenant of divine health
Another covenant you will enjoy with God if you surrender your life to him is the Covenant of Divine Health. Deuteronomy 7:15 says, “The Lord will take away from you all sickness, and will afflict you with none of the terrible diseases of Egypt which you have known, but will lay them on all those who hate you.”
3. Covenant of deliverance
The Covenant of Deliverance is one of the things you were enjoy if you surrender your life to Jesus Christ. Jeremiah 15:11 says, ” The LORD said, “Surely I will deliver you for a good purpose; surely I will make your enemies plead with you in times of disaster and times of distress”
4. Covenant of Prosperity
Luck and poverty should not be your portion if you surrender your life to Christ. It is a covenant that God has with his people. “And the LORD shall make thee plenteous in goods, in the fruit of thy body, and the fruit of thy cattle, and in the fruit of thy ground, in the land which the LORD sware unto thy fathers to give thee.” Deuteronomy 28:11
5. Covenant Of Fruitfulness
The Lord also promises Fruitfulness to his people so you have to surrender yourself to him. In Leviticus 23:3-4, the Bible says, “If you walk in My statutes and keep My commandments so as to carry them out, then I shall give you rains in their season so that the land will yield its produce and the trees of the field will bear their fruit.”
