The General Oversea of The Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor E.A. Adeboye is a highly influential figure who is well respected not just in Nigeria but around the world. He has joined other popular clerics like Apostle Suleman among others, to condemn police brutality and unlawful killings.
A day after SARS was disbanded by the Inspector General of Police, Pastor E.A. Adeboye did not Just indicated his support for the #Endpolicebrutality and #Endkillings movement but has also revealed the way Nigeria ought to take, in other to move forward as one nation.
Pastor Adeboye revealed that he does not agree with those who say that the solution to Nigeria’s problems is for Nigeria to breakup, rather he emphasized more on the need for Nigeria to be restructured and he further elaborated on how.
He acknowledged that it was either Nigeria restructures of break’s up and one doesn’t need to be a cleric to know this, but he prayed that God forbids that Nigeria should breakup. So since the chosen option is for Nigeria to be restructured, he proposed that Nigeria’s system of government needs to create what he calls a United States of Nigeria.
From what I can understand from his post above, he is trying to say Nigeria should adopt the ways of the U.S.A that will make sure every security agency and citizens are well fended for. Well he is a mathematician and full of wisdom so I think the government should give ears to what he has said
