During the second word session at the monthly Leadership Empowerment Summit, Bishop David Oyedepo released a prophecy about the kind of church growth the body of Christ will witness before Jesus returns.
He declared that before Jesus returns, vibrant and powerful ministries the world has never seen before will arise. He said churches will rise across the nations of the world, with enormous power and grace to force all the powers of hell to bow.
He quoted from Luke 12:32, where Jesus was assuring his disciples that it was the Father’s good pleasure to give them the kingdom, and he declared that churches that would look like kingdoms will arise before Jesus returns. These churches will have the kind of influence nations will have.
He then said that a church of that capacity will need to have large crowds as church growth is what will empower the church to be a ruling and reigning church.
“Because the opportunity for growth is unlimited, a time is coming when cities will shut down because church services are holding!” the Bishop said.
“Everywhere will be filled to overflowing. There was the time when almost the whole city gathered together to hear Paul preach. You can’t number that kind of growth. We will see the type of growth we’ve never seen these past six years this year. And because God delights in doing new things, we will see the type of growth nobody has seen before, and that has not been written in any book,” the Bishop said.
He declared that the type of church rising up in these last days will be the type of church nobody can challenge.
“If this church comes against you, you will be broken; and if you come against this church you will be grinded to powder. That’s where we’re going and all devils should take note. The kingdom of God is not in words but in power.”
