Bishop David Oyedepo Tells Interesting Story Of How God Told Him To Lie Down On The Ground While He Was Wearing White Shirt

Bishop David Oyedepo has narrated a period when God told him to do something embarrassing for him.

He revealed during the third day of the Week of Spiritual Emphasis, that during the dedication of Covenant University, God told him to lay down flat on the ground if he wanted Him to take over the university forever.

The Bishop revealed that the shirt he was wearing when he received that instruction from God was a brand new white shirt, but he obeyed. Although the shirt got ruined, according to him, he has not had a single concern about Covenant University since it started.

The reason he had to narrate this experience was because the third day of the Week Of Spiritual Emphasis was declared to be a blood of sprinkling service. In this service, the “blood” of Jesus would be sprinkled on every member of the congregation.

Before the sprinkling started, the Bishop revealed that it was the same fruit juice the church used for the Holy Communion that they used for the blood, because it was the same blood Jesus shed that was being sprinkled. He then told his congregation not to worry if the blood touched their white dress.

“This blood must touch you, touch your lintel and your two sides,” he said. “Don’t mind your white dress. Your life is more important than your shirt. When they sprinkle you, don’t do your hands like this so it doesn’t touch you.”
