Calling Yourself An Unworthy Sinner During Prayers Is Demonic And Satanic – Pastor David Ibiyeomie

Church Gist posted a sermon of Pastor David Ibiyeomie where he spoke about “Identifying with Jesus Christ For Faith Filled Lifestyle.”

He said that many people have the sense of unrighteousness built in them by preachers. Even in churches where they pray, they’d say, “Lord, we have come to you, we unworthy sinners.” According to the man of God, he said that that is a satanic and demonic prayer, it’s not correct because you’re not an unworthy sinner. Jesus paid the price for you, so how can you term yourself unworthy and people think it’s religion, they kneel down and cry.. Lord, look at us unworthy sinners.

He claimed that many of them have heard so many things from preachers that have affected their minds unknowingly. He said that all things have become new, including unworthiness (2 Corinthians 5:17-21). We have been made the righteousness of God because of the price Jesus paid. So, you’re not unrighteous or unworthy, you have been made righteous.

Speaking further, he said that you do not need to pray to be a Nigerian if you’re born in Nigeria. You do not need to pray to be an American if you’re born in America. This means that you don’t pray to be righteous if you’re born again. You’re not unworthy. Sin consciousness is built in us through ignorance and our sins have been wiped out as though they have never been in existence.

Finally, he said that we are the very righteousness of God in Christ Jesus, not because of what we did but because of what Jesus did. He said that the sin problem is settled and we share with Christ, in his death, in his suffering, in his righteousness. We are made alive with Him, rose with him and are seated with him in heavenly places. We are free from condemnation, We are free from the guilt of our old lives. “I believe the Word of God and that settles it,” he said.
