Muslim tradition holds that Isaiah 42: 1-4 , predicted the coming of a servant associated with Qedar , the second son of Ishmael who went to live in Arabia ,and so interpret this passage as a prophecy of Muhammad
According to the Hadiths , muslim like Abd Allah ibn Amr ibn Al – As ,have believe that Muhammad was the servant of Isaiah 42 : 1-4 during his life time.
Isaiah 42 : 1-4 .
1 Behold my servant , whom I uphold ; my elect, in whom my soul delighted ; I have put my spirit upon him : he shall bring judgement to the gentile .
2. He shall not cry ,nor lift up,nor cause his voice to heard in the street .
3. A Bruised reed shall he not break ,and to the smoking flax shall he not quench : he shall bring forth Judgement unto truth .
4. He shall not fail not be discourage , till he have set judgement in the earth and the isles shall wait for his law .
In 1892, Isaiah 42 : 1 – 4 was identified by Bernhard Duhm as one of the servants songs in the book of Isaiah along with Isaiah 49 : 1 – 6 , Isaiah 50 : 4 – 8 , and Isaiah 52 : 13 -53 .

This text has been interpreted by muslim scholars as a Messianic prophecy about Muhammad and his ascension to the throne of God .
According to Muslim scholars , the first Beast represents Babylon . The second beast represents Persia – Media . The third beast represents Greece . The fouth beast represents Rome .
