Will you join us in prayer today for the children around the world who face violence and harassment for their faith or the faith of their parents? A seven-year-old boy is the latest victim in a long-standing stream of attacks against a Christian Somali family. Several older Muslim kids were sent to beat the young boy after an underground Bible study led by his father.
“He suffered a swollen and injured face as well as an injured left hand from a knife,” his father relayed by phone. “My son lost a lot of blood and was rushed by one of the secret believers to a nearby dispensary…”
Eight years of following Christ have also been eight years of serious persecution. From destroyed belongings, to personal injury, to having his wife taken from him twice, to the miscarriage of an unborn child due to a beating – our brother and his family have tasted great loss on account of devotion to our worthy Savior.
Please join us in prayer for encouragement for this family, and for salvation of their persecutors.
“We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed. We always carry around in our body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our body.” – 2 Corinthians 4:8-10
