“Christians That Look To The World For A Dress Code Needs Mental Healing” – Mike Bamiloye

I don’t have any issues with Christian that aim to reach the youths today. Paul said that he became all things to all people so he could save some people by all means.

This is especially true for the Christain artists. I mean, you cannot reach the unchurched youths with typical church music; you will have to adapt your songs to fit what they would love to hear, in order to be able to pass your message to your audience. What I do have a problem with is when Christians try to become like the world in all that they do, just because they want to reach the unchurched.

I am not the only one who has issues with this. The president of Mount Zion Films, Mike Bamiloye, has revealed that one aspect where he has issues with this is the aspect of dressing. He said that Christians who look to the world to receive a dress code need mental and moral healings.

If you look at the kind of things the world promotes, it is contrary to what the Lord wants. God has standards, and you have to fit those standards if you claim to be set apart for him.

In the aspect of dressing, you don’t need to look far. Just turn on your TV and watch any award show for music or movies, and watch how the celebrities are dressed. That will give you a perfect idea of the style of dressing that the world accepts.

A Christian is someone who is under the authority of God, and who does what the Lord wants him to do. No true Christian will look to the way the world dresses for inspiration, just because he or she wants to reach the unsaved in the world.

Yes, God looks at the heart and not our appearance, but do you think it is right for you to dress in such a way that will cause someone to sin? Or should you dress in such a way that misrepresents God on this earth, seeing that you have been made an ambassador for Christ?
