The founder and senior pastor of the Daystar Ministries, Pastor Sam Adeyemi reacts to the FG’s reopening of churches, he says it was done because of political reasons and pressure.
The Life coach and strategic leadership professional had all along supported the FG’s decision to shut down all social activities at affected areas of the country amidst the Coronavirus pandemic saying this isn’t the first times of it happening and that it was a necessary sacrifice for the great good.
Pastor Sam Adeyemi cited that schools and churches were also lockdowns in Nigeria during Spanish influenza saying why are pastors quick to turn every social disruption as a move to destroy the church.
The Pastor also said the lockdown was lifted in a bid also to preserve livelihood, but he advised that till when the virus can be guaranteed to have been completely defeated he asked his followers to make sound decisions, act responsibly and stay safe.

His statement is coming after Bishop David Oyedepo had accused pastors who don’t want churches to be open yet as the devil’s incarnate.
