Once upon a time, the love life of the founder of the Believers’ Love world Incorporated also known as “Christ Embassy” Pastor Chris Oyakhilome and his ex wife Anita was a source of marital inspiration to his hundreds of congregants and his admirers around the World.
Before the trouble started with their marriage in 2014, it’s gathered that some people attended Christ Embassy’s headquarters just to catch a glimpse of Oyakhilome and Anita.
Anita now uses her maiden name Ebhodaghe after the crash of their wedding a few years ago.
The divorce was filed in April 9, 2014 at Divorce Section A, Central Family Court, First Avenue House, High Holborn, London, United Kingdom on the grounds of “unreasonable behaviour”.
How did it start?
According to a report by Pulse.ng in 2016, Anita spoke about her marriage with Oyakhilome for the first time since the divorce when she stated that she filed for a divorce on the grounds of “unreasonable behaviour.
The crisis was messy that it nearly caused division within he Church, but the seemingly unperturbed Anita took to her blog to inspire ladies who looked up to her, “ I want to help you recreate your life going forward, so you can live beautifully. I have been through this journey of rediscovery and nothing is as beautiful as realising one’s uniqueness as I have done.
“Life is a precious however, your life can go through different seasons: winter, spring, summer or autumn.
“Life can hit you with financial loss, disappointments, death of a loved one, a broken relationship, loss of a job, a divorce, being falsely accused or being a victim of crime.
“These can shatter you to pieces but you can do something about it. Life is a gift from God and you deserve to be happy irrespective of your age, race, gender, background or financial situation,” she wrote.
Will they ever resolve their differences?
No one can precisely say because at a time it was rumoured that Anita had remarried and hasn’t said anything about it.
In October 2018 when one of their daughters Carrissa Sharon Oyakhilome got married to Netherlands-born Ghanaian, Anita was absent.
