Dr. Paul Enenche is the Senior Pastor of one of the fastest-growing churches in Nigeria. He hails from Benue State, Central Nigeria. He and his beloved wife, Becky Enenche studied medicine at the prestigious University of Jos. They’re trained medical doctors turned pastors.

As seen from the picture above, his wife was cleaning her husband’s shoes with a handkerchief right inside the church auditorium. I considered this as an uncommon expression of humility, love, care, and respect, especially in this present generation. We are in a generation of gender equality where many women would want to share house chores with their husbands, some won’t even wash their husband’s clothes at home let alone cleaning their shoes openly.

Some women see submission to their husbands as slavery but Pastor Becky Enenche has shown women that being a good wife goes beyond the bedroom. She has demonstrated that being a good and submissive wife is possible both in the private and in the public.
