How I Backslide from God and What Brought Me Back to Him – Mike Bamiloye Finally Speaks

How I Backslide from God and What Brought Me Back to Him – Mike Bamiloye Finally Speaks.

Evangelist Mike Bamiloye, the founder and President of Mount Zion Faith Ministries based in Ibadan, recently shared a personal testimony on his official Facebook page. He delved into his early journey as a Christian, disclosing both his initial dedication and subsequent period of spiritual decline, as well as the turning point that brought him back to his faith.

During his years in secondary school, specifically in Form 4, Evangelist Bamiloye was a zealous believer in the Christian faith. His passion for the Lord led him to actively engage in preaching at the school chapel and organizing student groups for village crusades and revivals.

This fervor earned him and his team respect and recognition, although it also drew some criticism and fear from fellow students. His chapel sermons consistently attracted large crowds eager to hear the word of God.

However, after graduating from secondary school, the pressures of youth and peer influence began to erode his commitment to Christianity. He found himself growing weary in spirit and soul, contemplating a departure from his faith and embracing worldliness. This gradual descent culminated in him backsliding from his relationship with God, a period marked by outward changes such as altering his appearance and engaging in secular activities.

The pivotal moment in Evangelist Bamiloye’s journey occurred when he suffered a severe accident. While at his elder sister’s house one evening, preparing food, a sudden and catastrophic frying pan fire engulfed him, causing burns to his face, hands, and chest. This traumatic incident landed him in the hospital for approximately two months, leaving his face disfigured and his stylish appearance transformed into scars and disfigurement.

During his time of recovery, isolated in his room, Evangelist Bamiloye turned to God in repentance. He cried out to the Lord for restoration and redemption, seeking divine intervention to bring him back to the path of righteousness. This life-altering incident took place in November 1977, and on January 1st, 1978, Evangelist Bamiloye humbly approached the Lord with his burnt face, rededicating his life to God’s service and experiencing a profound restoration of his faith.
