How Policemen Wanted to Arrest Me For Preaching During Lockdown – Apostle Arome Osayi
Let me share my personal story, I remember I was preaching during the lockdown last year and policemen came with handcuffs to arrest me in their vans, with pistols but the kingdom I represent is not of this world. So, we don’t fear men, we don’t fear the authority of this age. We’re called to bear witness, we’re called to reveal a kingdom that has a king that is immortal. Someone that did not come into power by election. We’ve come to proclaim his kingdom, his glory and his majesty.
So the police came to arrest me while I was on the pulpit preaching. The law of the land was that there should be nothing more than 30 people in a building, and we are 12 people in the building. I was conducting a wedding, the groom and the bride they were there, the members of the family that attended the wedding were selected and we were exactly 12 people, there was no need for the police to come and check us, because we are still in confine with the law of the land and they thought when they shake their handcuffs, I’ll become afraid, oh my! If you’ve seen what I’ve seen in the Spirit, if you’ve seen it, you will know that there is nothing on earth to fear. A human being breathing oxygen cannot be the object of your fear. Guess what? After the police did what they did, the next day I was still on the pulpit preaching. You know why? If you don’t know your identity the police man can stop you from preaching, the reason why I started the lockdown preaching and I preached for 80days straight.
The reason why I started preaching was because, during the lockdown my prophet friend called me and said that, God is about to give me speed and the speed is tie to preaching. Then, I said to myself, so God wanted me to preach, that’s how I started preaching and on the 12day of preaching, the police now came but the God who instructed me to preach that He won’t allow them to prevail, that’s why the next day I was still there. We were still less than 30, we were still in conformity to the law. Don’t think we are rebels, no! No law of any nations not even in Saudi Arabia can convict a true kingdom man, the only reason why they can convict him may be on the basis of his interaction with God, which no nation has the ability to regulate, that’s beyond the scope of leadership in society. So, the next day I was on pulpit because I knew what God wanted to do is tied to my preaching. Then when we got to the 27day, another policeman came again. Guess what? I didn’t stop preaching, the policemen became tired of me and stopped coming. I know that I was supposed to be preaching and I know that anything that will stop me from preaching, my God can take care of it, I had no doubt about that.
