Ahead of the 2023 general elections in the Federal Republic of Nigeria, the Redeem Christian Church of God (RCCG) has created new Directorate of Politics and Governance.
According to a trending document that went viral on social media platforms, the Directorate of Politics and Governance was created by the Redeem Christian Church of God (RCCG) to assist every member of the church, who may have political interests in contesting one or the other political Office, ahead of the future general elections in Nigeria.

The letter asked every branch of the Redeem Christian Church of God (RCCG), across the 774 Local Government Areas in the Federal Republic of Nigeria, to set up the same department across the branches.
However, it was clearly stated in the letter that went viral on the various social media platforms that the, newly formed, Directorate of Politics and Governance would, publicly, be mobilizing people for any member of the Redeem Christian Church of Christ (RCCG), who may have interest to contest for any political position in the forthcoming elections, in the country.
Considerably, it could be recalled that Nigerian politics is already being marred with religious sentiments and regrettable intolerances, when it comes to talking about the politics of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Whatever the religion that you may be practicing, there is no doubt, the fact remains that the Federal Republic of Nigeria is, regrettably, dealing with sensitive religious issues, mostly, when it comes to the course of playing politics in Nigeria.
Sincerely, with the creation of the Directorate of Politics and Governance by the Redeem Christian Church of God (RCCG), various Muslim communities across the Nation, their other Christian counterparts, traditional worshipers and other faithful believers may decide to set up their parallel communities for propagating religious in politics. This may, sincerely, further worsen the religious intolerance, that is being managed, in the country.
