HOW TO MAKE LONG DISTANCE RELATIONSHIP WORK by Allison Hyacintho
This is just a flipside advice I’m pretty sure you will need if you want your relationship to survive the long distance and fondless moments.
People say the backbone of every relationship and marriage is communication, this Is absolutely true. For any love relationship to flourish, both must be willing to consistently and deliberately pursue communication with each other. But for long distance relationships, communication is not as plain and simple as that, there is an interesting twist to the way you should pursue communication in your cross country relationship.
Let me share one secret about long distance communication with you:
To get the most out of your regular phone calls, romantic text messages, whatsapp chats, and pings, you must first understand this love equation:
WHAT I HEAR + WHAT I SEE = STRONGER FEELINGS
Hey, what I’m trying to say is, as much as you are trying not to go a day without calling each other, also learn how to send each other pictures, cute pictures, and videos. Randomly take selfies in that stunning outfit, take a photo in your church dress, snap in your choir uniform, take a picture when you’re out with friends and share with your partner. He needs visuals to connect the words, she needs visuals too. Listen, I’m not trying to be mushy mushy but, sometimes, sending me a picture of you when I least expect you to, is all the love language you can speak to me at that moment. There is a way that pictures of your partner helps you tie down what you hear and say to each other.
Make this one of your love goals for the year, whether you are in a long or a short distance relationship, send pictures frequently, try videos too if you can, let the visuals fan the flames of your affection for each other
