Pastor Adeboye the General Overseer of The Redeemed Christian Church of God , ministered to the church on the effects of curse, said curse is a very terrible thing and is an unseen force that hinders progress. He went further by saying curse makes effort to fail with aim of destruction of the victim.
One of the illustrations he gave about curses is that, it can make you work like an elephant and still eat like ant and also the near success syndrome.
“When a curse is broken, there will be dramatic change. A curse can bind your leg, hands, and even womb if not broken.” Pastor Adeboye said. He also made mention that Jesus broke all curses at Calvary and replaced them with blessings of Abraham.
Pastor Adeboye gave strict warnings that some curses can actually work if the following people curse you with the backing from God:
1) A husband can curse his wife and it will come to pass if he has the backing from God.
2) Fathers can curse their children and it will stick if he has the backing from God, due to parental authority.
3) If the General Overseer of your church curses you, it can only stick, but you will need prayers from God for it to be reversed.
4) When God curse you, your case is already settled because no one can reverse it except God Himself.
Pastor Adeboye ended his sermon by saying every child of God has the ability to be great because if God bless you, nobody can curse you if you believe in the word of God and surrender your life to Him.
