You already know about the conflict between Russia and Ukraine. It has gotten to the point where countries with citizens in the embattled zone are beginning to take their citizens out. Nigeria is one country with citizens who work and study in Ukraine.
Mike Bamiloye, the president of the Mount Zion Films, has prayed for the Nigerian students in Ukraine, as they face the brunt of the crisis there.
On Instagram, he shared a video of Russian soldiers pointing guns at some Nigerian students, who began to shout, revealing their identity as ordinary students, who were unarmed, and posed no danger to the approaching soldiers. They shouted that they were students both in English and other languages.
He prayed for God to make a way for them to be brought back to their parents safely.
I have a friend and former classmate studying in Ukraine and I really don’t know how it is for them over there. However, I feel like the plight of the students there is somewhat peculiar. With the tension in the land, their programs have been disrupted, and some of them have no idea of if they will be able to continue.
I heard Nigeria has begun efforts to rescue their citizens by getting them into neighboring countries, before being processed to return to Nigeria.
Let’s join the man of God to pray for these students, and for God to intervene in the situation over there. Be blessed.
