Bishop David Oyedepo, the General Overseer of the Living Faith Church Worldwide spoke at the Foursquare Gospel Church 66th Annual Convention themed ‘Great And Mighty Things.”
He revealed that every true revelation is often validated by the Voice of God behind His Word. “I caught Matthew 6:33 as a revelation from Oswald J. Smith but I heard the voice of God saying, ‘seek ye first my kingdom and all these things that others are dying to get shall be added to you,” he said. That intoxicated him because behind every statement of scripture is the Voice of God. And can I tell you what the Voice of the Lord does? It is not easy to doubt. You can’t hear from God and doubt Him. More often than not, every revelation is accompanied by the Voice of God to consolidate our faith, to keep our faith on the Rock.
He further explains that light has no value except you choose and you are committed to walking in it. You can’t put a touch light in your pocket going through the darkness and expect it to light in your pocket. You walk by the light to enjoy the value of light. The light you don’t walk in adds no value to us. Let’s get ready we are in the days of great things, no one here shall be left behind.
He said that without doing anything about what He taught you last, don’t expect Him to teach you the next. You can limit your access to revelation by doing nothing about what He shows you. It’s one instruction complied with another that leads to the next. “Don’t toil with revelation else you shut the door against yourself,” he said.
Finally, the man of God revealed that no matter how hard you pray, if you are not a giver, you cannot prosper. No matter how anybody prays, with his prayer team and fasting company, there is no shortcut under Heaven. If you are not a giver, you cannot prosper. “God told me that, ‘until your part is played, I am not committed’, I heard from God,” he said. He said that he began to play his part, little by little, and advised them to start from there, position themselves on those things we have discussed and revelation will keep flowing. You will never lack access anymore.
