The building housing a church, the Salvation Ministry, at Okpanam town in Oshimili North Local Government Area of Delta State fell on Tuesday evening, killing at least ten people. However, an unknown number of worshippers were trapped beneath the wreckage of the fallen structure.

According to The PUNCH, during Tuesday’s evening worship, the facility, which was being utilized for the first time, collapsed about 5.55 p.m. Approximately eight people were alleged to have been rescued unharmed from the collapsed structure, while four others were transferred to the Asaba Specialist Hospital for medical treatment.

However, Pastor David Ibiyeomie, the founder and Senior Pastor of Salvation Ministries showed good gesture as he visited the victims of the building collapse. It is a storey building and Salvation Ministries occupy the first floor of the building. The man of God was seen visiting the patients and praying for them individually.
