Pastor Kumuyi warns Pastors who do not allow their daughters wear earrings
Pastor W.F Kumuyi, the General Superintendent of Deeper Christian Life Ministry, recently uploaded a video on Facebook.
The cleric reportedly claimed that “Jonah brought the storm upon himself.” Because God told him where to go yet he walked in the incorrect direction, his will was hostile to God’s desire. His actions were in direct opposition to God’s will. His leanings and temperament were not in line with God’s, thus he brought retribution and storm upon himself. This is something that many people nowadays do. When God tells them what to do, they do something different. This causes a storm because the path of the transgressors is difficult.
He went on to say, “Jonah brought storm, not only to himself, but to those who harbored him in their ship.” This is to warn you that a straying backslider will cause problems in your life since he has abandoned God’s will. The Pastor’s daughter who has strayed from God’s path, who may not wear jewelry or have holes put in her ears, but who talks, acts, and behaves like the rest of the world. She had abandoned the path her parents had set her on. You have let sinning Jonah and Josephine into your life by allowing her to display herself in front of you.
He went on to say, “Jonah caused distress to other people on the ship.” After a thorough inquiry revealed that Jonah was the source of the storm, they asked him what they should do with him. He was not ready to repent and was still warring against his Maker. He commanded them to throw him into the water, and as soon as he was in the sea, God prepared a large whale to gobble him up. God controls all of nature and has dozens of ways to defeat Jonah.
He said, “While in the belly of the whale, Jonah repented and called on God.” God listened and directed the whale to vomit him not on the shores of his village or Tarshish, but on the shores of Nineveh where he was supposed to go and preach in the first place. On that note, why not do what God has taught you to do from the beginning? Why are you arguing and complaining? If you obey God, your life will be serene.
