Marriage is an institution that God instituted to bring harmony and peace to homes. Marriage is ordained by God. When God is allowed to run it there will be fewer issues.
It is a sad reality that many Christians have little or no knowledge of the spiritual warfare taking place around them. The bible made it clear that there is a battle raging in the heavens aa the forces of evil continue to wage war against God and all who trust him.
The primary force contending against our home is Satan himself. Since the Garden of Eden, his most strategies, assaults have been focused on destroying the sanity of the marriage covenant and the unity of homes. And he will use any tactic he can; he will capitalize on every advantage imaginable to disrupt the harmony in any home. Some of his weapons include the following:
1. Sin: Just as he succeeded in deceiving the first family into losing the fellowship, peace and safety they enjoyed with God. He is still deceiving many today. He tempts them to sin against God so that he can creep in subtly to steal their peace, kill their joy and destroy their home. It weakens our relationship with God and our spouses.
2. Unfaithfulness: Unfaithfulness between couples is a betrayal of trust.it could be expressed in financial matters, information sharing or lack of commitment to the marital vow. Unfaithfulness manifested by any member of the family can endanger the peace and safety of the home.
3. Deceit: Deceit in any form can ruin the marriage union. When any member of the family becomes deceitful, they lose their trust and confidence in other members of the family. There is no safety in homes where the members tell lies habitually.
4. Career: In today’s society, no one wants to be redundant. In a bid to upgrade and remain relevant in their respective careers, many couples have joined the rat race at the expense of their families. They have little or no time to make up with their spouses and children, consequently, they fall apart.
In conclusion, do not allow satan to rule your family.
