A young Ibadan based pastor, Adedayo Adeyemi, yesterday shocked everyone with his proposal to one miss Itunu Owoseni during a service at the international headquarters of Cherubim and seraphim Movement church at Orile-Igbon in Oyo state.
The Ilesha born pastor is one of the popular young pastors in the white garment church.
Peter Adeyemo an eyewitness at the scene of the event said “when one of the ministers was given a lecture the man of God stood up and went to the podium where he asked the speaker to leave else a fight will start, his expression was so serious that everyone was scared.”
“Many of the leaders and elders at the events stood up to plead with him but he didn’t listen to any of them,he then suddenly fell down and fainted” he continued
Itunu, was also there, she was already in tears, suddenly the man opened his eyes held Itunu’s hand, knelt down and asked her to marry him. It was then everyone realized that the whole thing was staged.
The bride accepted the proposal as many of the witnesses clapped.
Public proposal used to be a western culture that most Nigerians watch in Hollywood movies in the past but recently it has becoming a common practice in Nigerian for marriage proposal to staged with a lot of tension and drama.
