Yakubu Dogara is a Nigerian politician born on December 26, 1967, he was the Speaker of the 14th House of Representatives of Nigeria.

He is the Lawmaker representing Bogoro /Dass, Nigeria /Tafawa Balewa, Nigeria Federal constituency of Bauchi since 2007.

He recently decamped from Peoples Democratic Party for All Progressives Congress Party.

Honourable Yakubu Dogara is a devoted Christian, he is a member of the Living Faith Church, right from 1988.

Dogara once attributed his success in becoming the speaker of the House of Representatives, as a result of years of teachings he had received from the church.

He had met with popular religious figures on several occasions, he once led the Nigerian delegate to the Vatican City where he interacted with Pope Francis.

Yakubu Dogara is one of the prominent Christian leaders that comes from the northern part of the country.
