Power Rangers actor and devout Christian Jason David Frank commits suicide at the age of 49.

Jason David Frank committed suicide before passing away. He was best known in the 1990s for his role as the Green Power Ranger in the popular superhero television series Mighty Morphin Power Rangers.He was 49.

According to his agent, Justine Hunt, Frank, a mixed martial artist, died in Texas after committing suicide.

Hunt stated in a statement, according to Digital Spy, “Please respect the privacy of his family and friends during this dreadful time as we come to terms with the death of such a lovely human being.”

Frank had a professional MMA fighting career in addition to his acting career. He was skilled in many different combat techniques, including Taekwondo, Muay Thai, Judo, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and others.

Additionally, as a Christian, Frank established Jesus Didn’t Tap, the first MMA clothing line based on Christian principles.

Frank revealed in a 2014 interview with CBN News that his wife had asked him to go to church following the death of his brother.

When he lost his brother, Frank admitted, “I didn’t really grasp what the entire church thing was about.” People kept telling me I needed God and all that stuff, and I was like, “If one more person tells me that, then that’s what it is,” he recalled.

As previously noted by Christian Headlines, Frank also played the same part in the 2017 remake of the original Power Rangers movie, which at the time sparked controversy because it starred a lesbian character as the Yellow Ranger.

Frank’s four children are his only survivors.
