“Stop Destroying Church Flyers, The Consequences Are Terrible” – Bishop David Oyedepo Warns

At the closing moments of the mid-week communion service, Bishop Oyedepo was urging his congregation to be vendors of Jesus Christ by distributing flyers to people, inviting them to church. He encouraged them to do so, because all vendors are deserving of a commission. He then mentioned that some people have manhandled the flyers people gave to them, and they paid some peppery consequences.

I don’t know if there are people who have suffered some terrible consequences for destroying church flyers like Bishop Oyedepo said, but one thing I know is that printing thousands of flyers cost money. If you’re not going to consider showing up for the program, you can respectfully reject the flyer. It’s better the church people give the flyer to someone who is more likely to show up, than give it to someone who will just waste it.

Perhaps the Bishop was talking about people who show outright hatred for the work of God, and exhibit it by destroying the flyers. Perhaps they had some diabolic intentions in manhandling the flyers, and they had to pay for it. Either way, you wouldn’t catch me destroying a church flyer; I have too much respect for that.
