“Tell your daughter, when you get to this age, you will see blood” – Pastor Ibiyeomie gives out advice on 3 Areas to parents on how to train their children

The presiding pastor of Salvation Ministries, Pastor Davide Ibiyeomie has given out some pieces of advice to parents during the fourth service of the church on how to train their children.

While preaching on the topic, Wisdom For A Wonderful Family, David advised parents to always take responsibility for the training of their children. He said most parents now put the training of their children in the hands of schools or have no time to bring them up properly.

He advised parents to always report any ill habits they discovered about their children to school, or church and ask for help so that they will both join hands to bring the child back.

He quoted Proverbs 22:6 “Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.” and asid the training of the child is the responsibility of parents.

He gave the following three areas.

1. Encourage discipline at home. He encourages them not to always oppose the school authority if their attention is called by the school to something that needed change in their children and that they should cooperate with the school to get the desired result. He said they should comply with schools’ standards on dressing mode and other things.

2. Teach your children sex education. He said parents should not allow their children to learn it outside because they may be misinformed. He said, “tell your daughter, when you get to this age, you will see blood and when you see blood, this is what it means. When you get to this age, your bre*sts will develop. Don’t ever bathe outside without supervision, bathe in the closet. Tell your children the age they will reach in which they should never agree with any man who asks them to sit on their laps and never allow men touch them anyhow”.

He said wicked men will ask a big girl to come and sit on their laps when they know that their body is close.

3. They should pay attention to the company their children keep

He said some children are corrupt and may influence other children. The Man of God said he refuse to buy phone for his son until he entered University. He said they should censor what their children watch, do and listen to.

He concluded by saying if they pay attention to these areas, they will be able to empower and prepare their children for the future and produce children that will add value to the society.
